SAMARA JEWELRY DESIGNS DRESSES LOCAL WOMAN FOR 2013 PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS!
Samara Jewelry Designs has recently had the pleasure of dressing Mrs. Toby Mason, of Sister Bay, in designer jewelry for the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards. Pictured below, Mrs. Mason was wearing 14K white gold earrings with .87 total carat weight diamonds and two stunning 12.3mm pearl drops. Toby is also wearing a beautiful “circle” necklace in 14K white gold with .37 total carat weight pavé diamonds. And for the finishing touch, an 18K white gold bangle bracelet, with 4.10 total carat weight blue sapphires, and a trim of .65 total carat weight white diamonds.
Mrs. Mason is at the Emmys supporting her youngest son, Douglas Graves, whom is a self taught visual effects specialist, originally from Green Bay, WI, and currently residing in the greater Los Angeles area. Douglas was nominated for “Outstanding Special Visual Effects” for his work on the Show Defiance. Defiance is a science fiction television series which airs on the Sci-Fi channel, and has been picked up for a second season starting June 2014. The “Outstanding Special Visual Effects” category is the only category the show was nominated in, and even though they didn’t pick up the award, Mrs. Mason said “it was an experience we wouldn’t trade in for anything…”
The 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards aired on Sunday, September 22nd on CBS.

500 Gemstone Jewels is an international book published by “Lark Books” and available at Barnes and Noble worldwide. As the title implies, this publication features 500 works of the top jewelry designers in the world. Our Art Professors from the University of Wisconsin Stout, encouraged us to submit examples of our custom jewelry designs for publication. Each artist can submit up to three designs to be juried.
Sam and I selected six of our newest designs of which three pieces were published.“We are very proud to be a part of this exclusive book and to be included with such other fine and talented designers. This is one of the biggest accomplishments and highlights of our career.”
